Men's health is not just about physical strength — it is about care, awareness and prevention.
As part of Men's Health Week, we urge every man to take the first and most important step — get checked.
Which checkups should you have and when?
👨⚕️ Urologist checkup + PSA test (a blood test for prostate-specific antigen):
▪️ Age 40–49 — once a year
▪️ Age 50+ — also once a year
The PSA test helps detect prostate cancer at early stages, when there are no symptoms yet.
Colonoscopy:
▪️ From age 50 — once every 5 years (or more often if your doctor recommends it)
This examination can detect bowel cancer before any symptoms appear.
📌 After age 60, other examinations are prescribed by your family doctor or general practitioner according to your health.
If you notice any changes in your health, don't put it off. See your family doctor, who will refer you to the right specialist or for an examination.
💙 Cancer can be prevented or detected at an early stage — but only if you don't delay.
At the Oncology Center, you can always get an expert consultation, have an examination and receive advice on your next steps.
