Since 1 January 2025, in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 1338 “Some issues of introducing the assessment of a person's daily functioning”, expert teams for the assessment of a person's daily functioning (EKOPFO) have been working at Sumy Regional Clinical Oncology Center.
The center has formed 2 physician teams specializing in oncology
Assessment procedure:
The patient's family doctor or attending physician (an oncologist at our center) sends a referral through the electronic system, in line with the referral criteria, to have the person's daily functioning assessed.
Expert team specialists review the medical records, examine the person and assess the degree of functional impairment against the main criteria of daily living, as well as its severity.
Based on the assessment results, the teams make their decision on the day of the examination. Patients receive documents with information about their disability status, as well as recommendations and prescriptions for rehabilitation measures. An extract from the decision is sent through the electronic document management system to the Pension Fund of Ukraine and the Social Protection Department.
