Histological examination is the standard for establishing a diagnosis in oncology. Our laboratory provides a high level of diagnostics thanks to modern equipment and qualified specialists.
Types of tests we perform:
1️⃣ Histological examination of surgical and biopsy specimens.
2️⃣ Intraoperative frozen section examination — needed to determine the nature of a lesion (cancer/not cancer), whether there are metastases in the lymph nodes, and whether the tissue was removed within healthy tissue margins. This examination is performed during surgery and takes 15–20 minutes.
3️⃣ Immunohistochemistry (IHC) — needed to clarify the tumor subtype, choose the appropriate treatment, identify the origin of metastases and diagnose hematolymphoid neoplasms.
4️⃣ Slide review (second opinion) — for patients who come to the Oncology Center's outpatient clinic from other healthcare facilities in the city and the region.
🕒 Turnaround times:
Histological examination – 5–7 working days.
Immunohistochemistry – up to 14 working days.
We strive to give you the best possible chance of an accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. Your health is our priority.
