The Ministry of Digital Transformation is implementing Ukraine’s first-ever program to develop citizens’ digital skills. Under the Action Program of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, approved by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 849 of 29 September 2019, the Ministry of Digital Transformation must, among other things, achieve the following goal: “Any Ukrainian who wants to have digital skills can freely acquire them.” The performance indicators for this goal are: more than 6 million Ukrainians covered by the digital skills development program; 70% of citizens who complete the program have basic-level skills.
To achieve this goal, the Ministry of Digital Transformation is launching a national online platform for digital literacy, which will be available on the internet at osvita.diia.gov.ua.
On the online platform, every citizen will be able to learn digital skills free of charge. We have chosen a modern learning format: educational series featuring experts and Ukrainian celebrities. Three educational series will soon be available on the platform: a basic digital literacy series, digital literacy for teachers, and an educational series for parents, “Online safety for children.” New educational series will appear on the online platform throughout 2020.
