🔵 11 June is the World Day Against Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in men. Every year, more than 7,500 new cases are diagnosed in Ukraine, and many men see a doctor too late.
This day is a reminder of how important it is not to ignore your health. After all, in the early stages prostate cancer responds well to treatment.
- It is a malignant neoplasm that develops in the tissue of the prostate gland — the organ responsible for male reproductive health.
- It often causes no symptoms in the early stages, which is why regular checkups are critically important.
- The risk increases with age, especially after 50, and is higher in men whose relatives have had the disease.
❗ Warning symptoms:
- frequent or difficult urination
- pain or burning when urinating
- blood in the urine or semen
- pain in the lower back, pelvis or hips
- erection problems, weight loss
