We all face barriers. When we can't get somewhere with a stroller or a suitcase, or because of our health. When we can't find a job just because of our age or gender. Some people run into barriers from time to time, others every day.
To change this, we have launched the nationwide campaign “Barrier-free is when you can” to promote the principles of barrier-free access and to involve people in building a Ukraine without barriers.
This manifesto is about a shared goal: to create an environment in which everyone can live, work, move around and interact without barriers.
We can all help create a Ukraine without barriers in our words, actions and decisions — at the level of the community, the institution, the business and the individual. This campaign explains how.
Barrier-free is when you can.
The nationwide social change campaign “When you can” is implemented by the ministries of Ukraine with the support of UNICEF Ukraine as part of the First Lady of Ukraine's “Without Barriers” initiative, with financial support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the KfW state development bank.
