The VI Annual Story Contest “Civil Society, Business and Government — Best Practices of Cooperation” is underway

Time remaining

Deadline: 31 October 2026, 23:59 (Kyiv time)

The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine announces the VI Annual Story Contest “Civil Society, Business and Government — Best Practices of Cooperation”. Representatives of state authorities and local self-government bodies, civil society organizations and businesses are invited to take part. Stories are accepted until 31 October 2026 inclusive.

Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine only multiplies the challenges that can be met solely through cooperation between different sectors. That is why the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine is holding this contest together with the Center for Democracy and Rule of Law (CEDEM), the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the National Social Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Agency on Corruption Prevention.

The contest aims to promote successful three-way cooperation between the sectors and the results of their joint work for the development of a society of responsible citizens and a strong, independent Ukraine. Based on its results, a Collection of stories about the best joint projects of civil society organizations, businesses and government bodies will be compiled to highlight the successes of such cooperation and inspire future three-way initiatives.

Contest categories

This year, stories are accepted in nine categories:

  • assistance to the military;

  • humanitarian aid and rehabilitation;

  • social projects;

  • recovery;

  • creating spaces;

  • education;

  • information campaigns and contests;

  • culture;

  • other.

Which stories will be included in the Collection

An initiative or project must meet four criteria:

  • it was carried out with the participation of all three sectors — a civil society organization, a business and a government body;

  • it started in 2024 and/or 2025;

  • information about it is publicly available;

  • it has a measurable result.

How to submit a story

If your institution, organization or company has experience of implementing a joint project with representatives of other sectors, share your story — fill in the contest application form (in Ukrainian) by 31 October 2026 inclusive. Detailed terms of participation are also available on the form page.

Stories selected last year can be found in the Collection of the V contest (in Ukrainian).
