A patient with a family history of cancer (breast cancer in first- and second-degree blood relatives) came to our center because she was seriously worried about her risk of developing cancer (cancerophobia).
🔬 What did the examination show?
- Mutations in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes were found, which significantly increase the risk of breast cancer.
- Pronounced fibrotic changes were found in both breasts.
🩺 The decision: to reduce the risk of cancer, we performed a preventive operation known as the “Angelina Jolie operation.”
The operation included:
▫️ Bilateral subcutaneous mastectomy.
▫️ Simultaneous reduction mammoplasty.
▫️ Breast reconstruction with implants.
📸 Results after 6 months:
The patient has fully recovered from the operation. The treatment helped reduce her risk of cancer and restore the aesthetic appearance of her breasts.
