On 19 November, a laparoscopic Piver II radical hysterectomy was performed at the Sumy Regional Clinical Oncology Center.
The operation was performed by Dmytro Sumtsov, head of the gynecologic oncology department of the center; gynecologic oncologists Mykhailo Mykhailenko and Viktoriia Lytvynenko; anesthesiologist Serhii Lutsyk; and operating room nurse Anna Sakhno.
Modern surgery means high-tech, high-precision and expensive equipment! Thanks to Director Volodymyr Shevchenko, the operation was performed on the latest equipment from a German manufacturer, with 3D visualization and the ability to mark and visualize lymph nodes for a series of surgical procedures.
