🎗 4 February – World Cancer Day

Cancer is not a death sentence! What matters most is timely diagnosis, professional treatment and support. The Sumy Regional Clinical Oncology Center works every day to provide every patient with the care they need on the way to a healthy life.

📊 Key figures of our work in 2024:

42,963 patients are on our register.

3,530 new cancer cases were registered.

3,874 surgical procedures were performed, including innovative operations such as:

  1. Video-assisted thoracoscopic lobectomy (VATS lobectomy),
  2. Laparoscopic gastric resection,
  3. McKeown esophagectomy.

🩺 In 2024, the center received modern medical equipment that helps improve diagnosis and treatment:

  1. Radiography system;
  2. Tissue processor for histology;
  3. Enzyme immunoassay analyzer;
  4. Biochemistry analyzer;
  5. Fluobeam imaging system for precise detection of pathology;
  6. Patient immobilization equipment for radiation therapy;
  7. Electrosurgical unit.

🌟 Prevention is the key to fighting cancer. We are actively working to raise awareness of cancer:

  1. Outreach consultations for residents of remote communities in Sumy Region.
  2. Seminars timed to important dates, such as World Melanoma Day.
  3. Opening of an ostomy care room at the center.
  4. More than 100 informational materials and articles on social media.
  5. Open days at the Oncology Center’s outpatient clinic.
