On 7 February 2024, to mark World Cancer Day, our specialists visited the village of Pustovoitivka in Romny District with diagnostic equipment.
In total, doctors of the Sumy Regional Clinical Oncology Center saw 105 patients. A gynecologic oncologist and a surgical oncologist examined 40 and 25 of them respectively, and an ultrasound physician examined 40 people. A total of 77 examinations were performed. In 42 cases, doctors found conditions that could potentially lead to cancer in the future.
Six people were referred to our Oncology Center for further examination, follow-up and treatment.
We continue to do everything we can to fight cancer and support patients even in the most remote communities.
