The diagnostic imaging department was established at the Oncology Center.

Acting head of department: Oleksandr Riabokon.

The department includes an X-ray room, 3 ultrasound rooms, a mammography room and 2 computed tomography (CT) rooms.

The department is staffed by trained specialists: 3 radiologists, 3 ultrasound physicians, a senior nurse, 5 radiographers, 3 nurses and 3 nursing assistants, all experienced in performing every type of X-ray and ultrasound examination.

List of diagnostic examinations performed

  1. CT scans of the areas listed below can be supplemented with bolus (contrast) enhancement when necessary.
  • CT of the head
  • CT of the neck
  • CT of the chest
  • CT of the spine;
  • CT of the abdomen
  • CT of the pelvis
  • CT angiography
  • Special CT scans (including marking of radiation fields)
  1. X-ray examinations:
  • Breast X-ray (mammography).
  • Chest and abdominal X-ray / fluoroscopy
  • Fluoroscopy of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum (with water-soluble or water-insoluble contrast and with double contrast);
  • Small bowel follow-through;
  • Barium enema (irrigoscopy);
  • X-ray of the musculoskeletal system
  • X-ray of the paranasal sinuses (PNS).
  • Special fluoroscopy (including marking of radiation fields)
  1. Ultrasound examinations:
  • Abdominal organs, retroperitoneal space and pelvis
  • Female reproductive organs (transvaginal, transabdominal)
  • Prostate gland
  • Breasts
  • Thyroid gland
  • Lymph nodes
  • Ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy
  • Ultrasound-guided needle biopsy and drainage
