Nursing staff

The chemotherapy department has 50 beds. The department employs 4 doctors, 10 nurses and 6 nursing assistants.

Types of treatment provided:

1. Neoadjuvant chemotherapy 2. Adjuvant chemotherapy 3. Palliative chemotherapy

The chemotherapy department treats tumors at the following sites:

  • head and neck tumors (oral cavity, oropharynx, hypopharynx, nasopharynx, larynx);
  • lung tumors;
  • stomach tumors;
  • colon and rectal tumors;
  • pancreatic tumors;
  • breast tumors;
  • ovarian, uterine and cervical tumors;
  • melanoma;
  • sarcomas;
  • Hodgkin lymphoma;
  • non-Hodgkin lymphomas

More than 2,500 patients are treated in the department every year, about 200 of them with hematologic malignancies.

The department works under a contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) within the Program of Medical Guarantees and provides medical services in the following areas:

1. Chemotherapy treatment and support for adults and children with cancer in outpatient and inpatient settings 2. Treatment and support for adults and children with hematologic diseases and hematologic malignancies in outpatient and inpatient settings

Since 2002, the department has hosted international clinical trials, which allows patients to receive more modern anticancer drugs and supportive care medicines.
